How Points Work

Every score in Marco Ai is transparent. Here is exactly how we calculate your numbers.

Onboarding Assessment Score
Your initial score is calculated from 16 questions across 4 pillars, each worth up to 25 points for a total of 100.
Discipline (25 pts)

Measures trading frequency control and post-trade emotional discipline.

  • Trades per day: 1-2/day = 5 pts … 20+/day = 1 pt
  • After a loss: stop & review = 10 pts … increase size = 0 pts
  • After a win: follow plan = 10 pts … overconfident = 0 pts
Process (25 pts)

Evaluates documentation, review habits, and pre-entry discipline.

  • Written trading plan: Yes = 5 pts
  • Journaling: every trade = 8 pts … never = 0 pts
  • Weekly review: every week = 7 pts … never = 0 pts
  • Entry checklist: always = 5 pts … never = 0 pts
Psychology (25 pts)

Starts at 25 and subtracts penalties for destructive behavioral patterns.

  • Overtrading / Revenge / Moving stops = -5 pts each
  • Poor risk management / FOMO / Emotional trading = -4 to -5 pts each
  • Minimum possible: 0 pts
Consistency (25 pts)

Based on current profitability with bonuses for structured habits.

  • Consistently profitable = 25 pts … significantly losing = 5 pts
  • Bonus: +2 pts for written plan
  • Bonus: +2 pts for regular journaling
  • Bonus: +2 pts for weekly reviews

Behavior-Based Check-In System
Daily check-ins are now built around five trader failure modes: Overtrading, Oversizing, Revenge Trading, Breaking Daily Loss Limit, and FOMO.

Pre-Market: Commitment & Risk

You set a contract/trade limit, loss limit, stop time, and plan for each failure mode before the market opens. A Pre-Market Risk Score (0–100) is calculated from your urge, confidence, importance, first-loss plan, and whether you are trying to recover losses. Lower risk and strong commitments raise your Predicted Success Score for the day.

Post-Market: Failure Review & Accountability

You review the same five failure modes honestly: did you overtrade, oversize, revenge-trade, break your loss limit, or chase/FOMO? Each confirmed failure reduces your Post-Market Discipline Score by 20 points. This produces a Daily Grade (A–F) and a personalized Daily Report that highlights your strongest behavior, biggest risk, and the one thing to interrupt tomorrow.

Other Rule Violations

Beyond the core five, you can log additional violations (e.g., moved stop loss, traded outside hours, ignored checklist). These are tracked in your history, counted in compliance, and surfaced in your Major Weakness analytics.

How Your Classification Evolves
Your onboarding score is the starting point. As you complete daily check-ins, your live behavior progressively takes over (full weight at around 14 completed days).
Discipline (live)
  • Days with zero rule violations (40%)
  • Staying within your max trade limit (25%)
  • Staying within your daily loss limit (15%)
  • Following your trading plan (20%)
Process (live)
  • Writing journal / reflection notes (30%)
  • Running your checklist before trades (25%)
  • Taking only approved setups (20%)
  • Completing both daily check-ins (25%)
Psychology (live)
  • Daily mood — calm/focused scores highest (30%)
  • Lower stress levels (25%)
  • Higher confidence levels (20%)
  • Following your focus habit (25%)
Consistency (live)
  • Average daily compliance score (45%)
  • Current check-in streak, capped at 30 days (30%)
  • Share of days that finished green (25%)
Your blended total still maps to the same five tiers shown above — so you can climb from At Risk to Developing Trader (or slip back) based purely on your accountability data.
Pre-Market Scoring
How your pre-market check-in turns into a risk signal and a predicted success score.
Risk Score (0–100)

Higher means more danger. The score rises with high urge, ‘must’ importance, recovering from losses, overconfidence, and weak first-loss plans.

  • LOW: 0–34 (green)
  • MEDIUM: 35–59 (yellow)
  • HIGH: 60–100 (red)
  • Top risk mode is the failure most likely to surface today.
Predicted Success Score (0–100)

Inverse of risk, with bonus points for strong commitments.

  • Base: 100 − Risk Score
  • +8 if you agree to your loss limit
  • +6 if you set a cooldown after first loss
  • +6 if you commit to wait when ideal setups are absent
  • +6 if you refuse to increase size after a loss
  • +6 if you plan to wait or reframe a missed entry
The 5 Pre-Market Commitments

You answer one focused question per failure mode.

  • Overtrading: max trades, stop conditions, and waiting if setups are absent
  • Oversizing: planned size, max size, and whether you increase size after a loss
  • Revenge Trading: first-loss plan and cooldown length
  • Daily Loss Limit: max loss and the action when you hit it
  • FOMO: ideal entry, entering late, and what to do if you miss it
Post-Market Scoring
How your post-market review becomes a discipline score, daily grade, and report.
Discipline Score (0–100)

Starts at 100. Each confirmed failure-mode breach subtracts 20 points.

  • Overtrading exceeded: −20
  • Oversizing exceeded: −20
  • Revenge trading: −20
  • Broke daily loss limit: −20
  • FOMO / chased: −20
Execution Adherence

Compares your actual trade count to your planned trade count.

  • If you take fewer trades than planned, adherence stays at 100%.
  • If you exceed the plan, adherence drops to (planned / actual) × 100.
Daily Grade (A–F)

Mapped directly from your discipline score.

  • A: 90–100
  • B: 80–89
  • C: 70–79
  • D: 60–69
  • F: 0–59
Daily Report

Generated automatically after post-market review.

  • Violations count (number of the five failure modes you confirmed)
  • Strongest behavior: the highest-priority failure mode you did NOT break
  • Biggest risk tomorrow: the highest-priority failure mode you DID break
  • Improvement suggestion: pulled from your reflection or the biggest risk
Daily Compliance Score (0–100)
Each completed post-market check-in earns up to 100 points across your daily rule-compliance answers. This is the same score that feeds the Consistency pillar of your Marco Score™.
